Consequences of being unplugged

Eeek!!

I haven’t read a paper or watched the news, or gone to any of my regular washpost.com, nytimes.com, economist.com in a few days, and am a little out of the loop.  I am beginning to try to read the plan to save the economy, and I just looked at where the markets ended up today.

Yikes.

Eeeek.

Markets crashing.

Again.

Reminder to self: do not look at 401(k).  I repeat: do not look at 401(k).

  1. Instead of looking at the markets or your 401K, which you don’t need for another 35 years, look at housing prices, and mortage rates. You could refinance. You could buy in Manhattan. Your retirement is a ways off for now. 30-somethings like us can take solace in that.
