Oscar Night

After all the gloom and doom of the day, it is easy to see why Oscar night in America can be the “something to do”.  But, I still stand by my belief of not watching them.  I think it is all a lot of back patting, celebrity, Hollywood-ish behavior, and I just don’t really buy into it.  I don’t think the Academy has chosen the “best” actor/actress/film/etc. every year, and I think sometimes they turn the other cheek.  Now, if the Nobel Peace Prize was half the show of the red carpet, maybe that would be worth watching.  So instead, I made a really great scallop and garlic sauce pasta dinner, will snuggle in to read The Omnivore’s Dilemma and call it a night.

  1. Recipe, gf? Altho’ knowing you, it was probably a little of this, a little of that, you know when it’s done by how it looks, what it needs by how it smells, … If only our poor economy could be cooked back to health the same way!
